Missbossy Meanders... SINGAPORE

The evening of our performance of Berlioz at the Esplanade. I didn't actually take picture DURING the concert thank you! I did have the job of singing to occupy me. The lighting onstage before performing is very weak and to save myself being kicked out, I did not use a flash. The page is very heavy so will take a while to load on slower connections...

5:56pm The view from outside the 6th floor rehearsal studio.

I finally made it to the rehearsal studio. I waited 20 minutes at the backstage entrance for the thermometre patrol to come and give me the green light. I was 37.3 again. Then I wandered aimlessley around the backstage labyrinth until some security guard took pity on me and sent me... in the wrong direction but with very good intentions. In the end, a cleaner with a major case of unibrow escorted me to the right lift.

How is it that I never tire of this building?

5:59pm Waiting to warm up. The studio feels cold... and looks cold. It's pale colours are like winter.

6:45pm Warm up begins 15 minutes late. LY quickly runs us through all our weak points. There are many. We're out of time...

We know it's over when we see the back of the maestro as he runs from the hall.
