SARS Singapore Case Database 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
This information is largely taken from the Singapore MOH SARS website. That website only starting reporting detailed case information around April 17 so most of the cases are missing the age and gender of the patients. In some cases the age and date of death of SARS victims were provided without a cross reference to the original date the case was listed as probable. For those few cases (there are about 5) I have "guestimated" the reporting date based on other info provided about cases at the time and assumptions about the lag time between infection, reorting date and death.
I will update this file at most once a week. Last Update: 30 April 2003
Note that at the beginning of May, the old MOH reports were removed from the MOH website so it is now not possible to go back and review reports before the beginning of May.

| 50 | 23-Mar | Painah Abdullah | 29-Mar | 52 | F | SUPER-INFECTOR She had checked into Tan Tock Seng Hospital on March 10 with bacterial pneumonia. She also suffered other medical problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. Soon, her bug was passed on to a family member, another patient, three visitors and about 16 hospital workers. Her relative passed it to her mother and four siblings. Meanwhile, Madam Painah had been moved to the hospital's cardiac unit for her heart problem. There, she infected trainee cardiologist Lim Ing Haan and medical officer Ong Hok Su who later died. |
